Oct 17th, 2024 Happy Hump(ish) Day! Here is your weekly encouragement to keep providing. Our family has divided and conquered across Virginia and North Carolina this week to share some provider insights. Enjoy! 1 big thing: Focus on Health and Family Loving and caring for our bodies helps us love our family. Amy and the girls get annoyed (in a loving way of course) when I conjure up exercise adventures. For example, my idea to go on a 15-mile run/bike ride to celebrate our 15th anniversary went over like a lead balloon with Amy. While my execution may have been off I was back on track when I read the section from Eph 5:28: ..."husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself."
2. 🎙️ #144 Podcast Released! Sharing the G.U.Y.S. Framework for Love and Caring. Inspired by Eph 5:28, I focused my latest solo show on practical ways to love and care for yourself, specifically challenging the guys.

3. 🛒 Damascus Donations Update Amy and the girls are back volunteering in Damascus, Va! They have been working in the donation center, filling up shopping carts for people in need after the storms. Here is a summary from Amy after five straight days: "It seems everyone in this hard-hit area is tired. So many people are showing up and want to help which is awesome but it’s hard to know how to point them in the right direction. We are all just making it up as we go as well.
People are trying to devise systems and lists to organize volunteers with the people who need help, but even that is overwhelming.
I truly appreciate the people who came to Damascus to work as mechanics or with equipment like chainsaws. While they were waiting to put their talents to work, they kept their hands busy in any way they could, which often involved moving boxes and sorting things at the donation center.
I heard that in one town, each church was going to sponsor a family and walk them through the entire process of getting back into their home. The center's hours have been reduced but is still run by local volunteers as needs continue to be met."
Thank you for all the support! We are privileged to have received donations for Helene's recovery efforts. Amy continues to provide "boots on the grounds," and we are evaluating how best to help after this week. More to come! Thank you for the opportunity to document my provider journey. I hope it inspires you to be a servant leader like Jesus. Bless & Protect, Justin Thomas p.s. April 3rd, 2025 Happy Thursday! I am getting back into the habit of sharing weekly(ish) encouragement to provide like Jesus through this newsletter. I recently had the opportunity to share at my church and wanted to summarize the talk below. Enjoy! God is With Us Even When We Don't Feel It Running 100 miles reminded me God is with us. When I woke up for my last ultrarace, I looked at my alarm clock and immediately sensed the words "I am with you." What a gift. I meditated on these words all...
